Dr. Moon, along with other SDSU Faculty, awarded $1.8 million grant from the NIH

Dr. Kee Moon, along with Dr. Guadalupe Ayala (Health & Human Services),  Dr. Jose Castillo (Computational Science Research Center), Dr. Morteza Mehrabadi (Engineering), and Dr. Stanley Maloy (Graduate & Research Affairs) were awarded a $1.8 million grant from the NIH, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Research. The purpose of this endowment is to build capacity and infrastructure for population health and health disparities at SDSU. The goal is to create an infrastructure for innovative and significant translational research to achieve population-level health changes and reduce health disparities among racially/ethnically diverse populations (Hispanic/Latino and immigrant groups most notably), sexual minorities, and lower-income populations in the United States.
