Dr. Moon received an $112, 611 grant from AMOSENSE for the development of sustainable power module for implantable medical devices based on ultrasonic wireless power transfer. Implantable medical devices using first battery have a limited lifetime, so that operation of changing battery is required. With sustainable wireless power transfer technology, the implantable medical devices can be worked continuously without surgical re-operation for changing battery. The project is to develop a sustainable power module for implantable medical devices using ultrasonic wireless power transfer devices.
